If California Passes The Constitutional Amendment To Ban Gay Marriage Again, What Will Be The Next Step???

Is there any recourse that the gays that got married (or that want to get married) can take to fight a constitutional amendment? Could the US Supreme Court throw out a state's constitutional amendment if they find it unconstitutional? (Not that I have much faith in the current partisan court.) Will Calif's amendment pass with a simple 50% + majority or do they need 60-something percent?
