2010 US House Freshman Class

22 hours ago ago from pilgrim's blog

I think that the GOP has a good shot at picking up enough seats so that in the next Congress the Rs will occupy 228, and the Ds will occupy 207 seats. I would hope that the GOP can keep all but two of the seats the GOP have an incumbent running for reelection and pick up 53 seats currently occupied by Democrats. ...

These highly-educated individuals appreciate diversity and would never tell racist or homophobic jokes; they like living in walkable urban environments; they believe in environmental stewardship, community ...

Based on historical standards and the current political atmosphere it's almost a foregone conclusion that the party will lose seats. Democratic leadership is publicly looking ...

I was energized by the toppling of the power drunk and corrupt Democrats. I was also inspired by the so-called Contract with America . But I stopped sending the RNC money when the Republicans didn't respond to Bill Clinton's lying advertisement that implied that ...

James Campion: Health Care: The Big Finale

23 hours ago ago from Huffington Post

The clock is ticking for Democrats. The health care reform bill has now become for all intents and purposes, as politically charged and attached to Democrats' success or failure going into 2010, just as Iraq and the oft befuddled and always erratic War on Terror was for Republicans. Much like our compromised ability to wage war while reconfiguring centuries of damaged theocratic lunacy plunging us deeper into debt, not to mention robbing ...
