February 8, 2010 – A sheriff's deputy was injured when a car rear-ended his patrol vehicle in Encinitas. The crash occurred about 10:34 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Chesterfield Drive and South Coast Highway 101, said Sgt. William Dreyer of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
