jasra let me try out her Sprint Palm Pre around my house, and it looks like I am safe to stay with Sprint. I also want a Palm Pre now. Other very strong contenders are the Palm Pixi and the Sanyo Incognito. I can get a Blackberry Pearl for almost nothing (ugly!) and a few other Blackberries for various prices... I just don't want one. I don't care how trendy they are. I like the purpleness of the LG Lotus but I think that the squareness of ...

Carriers and Palm have been absolutely silent on the matter, but let's be honest: there's very likely been one of the most heated, no-holds-barred wars over the past few months to score European exclusivity on the Pre since the Storm and the iPhone and with launches broadly expected by mid-year, time is running out to secure a deal. I have used a Palm based PDA since I entered private practice in 2000. I started with a black & white Handspring Visor. I then moved on to a Prism. I was excited when I saw Palm announce the Pre, then highly disappointed when I discovered that it was initially available only on Sprint's network. I have been ...

Palm Pre Plus vs. Motorola DROID, who wins? I am going to compare Palm Pre Plus and Motrola DROID side by side. Both phones cost a bit of money, with DROID $50 more than the $99 Palm Pre, not a huge difference in terms of pricing. DROID is a bit faster when it comes to loading web pages. Some people might find the DROID keyboard easier to use because of the size. My take - if you want to save some money, go for the Pre. I don't really see ...

Got opportunity to play with Palm Pre for couple minutes in the weekend. Sprint kiosk at Chesterfield Mall has the real Pre (instead of the faked phones at many other places). I was very impressed by the screen, both the (multi) touch and the display. Surfed the web: amazon, ESPN etc. Zooming in and out is very similar to iPhone (using two fingers). Checked out the tiny keyboard, it feels OK. Initially I thought it's not keyboard, I was ...
